The Origin Story

A student who was
tired of paying for knowledge.

This is the honest, unfiltered story behind PreetBeacon.

In 2024, Preet Yadav — a Computer Science student at a college in UP — was preparing for his semester exams. He needed notes, PYQs, viva questions, and a decent resume template. Simple things. But every good resource was behind a paywall, a login wall, or a spam wall.

He asked himself: Why should the quality of a student's education depend on their bank balance? That question had no good answer. So he built one.

What started as a few personal tools for AKTU students slowly grew into a full platform — AI Tutor, Resume Builder, CGPA Calculator, Notes Generator, Viva Prep, and so much more. Every tool was born from a real pain point that Preet or a fellow student experienced.

Today, PreetBeacon serves students across India — not just AKTU, but engineering students everywhere who deserve access to powerful tools without barriers.

The Problem
Too many paywalls. Preet couldn't find free, quality resources for AKTU exams. PYQs, notes, viva questions — all scattered or paid.
The Idea
One free hub. Everything a student needs — in one place, no account, no cost. The idea was simple. The execution took months.
The Build
Nights and weekends. Built between assignments and exams. Every tool coded with real students in mind — not investors, not metrics.
The Growth
Word of mouth. Students started sharing PreetBeacon in WhatsApp groups. No ads. Just genuine love from the people it helped.

A Computer Science Engineering student from Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. Preet built PreetBeacon while navigating the same challenges every Indian engineering student faces — limited resources, expensive tools, and a system that wasn't built for people like him.

He codes PreetBeacon in his spare time, reads every piece of feedback personally, and believes deeply that technology should level the playing field — not tilt it further toward privilege. His goal: make PreetBeacon the most useful educational platform for every Indian student, regardless of their background or location.
